Default New (old) guy and a TRX Cherokee.

Hey folks, I've been out of the crawler and RC game in general for about a decade. When the trx Blazer came out it sucked me back in. I drove it stock for about 4 days and then decided to make some changes. It's good to be back and glad to see the forum is still up and running!

How do you have the body mounted?

Love that rusted faded paint job! Did you achieve it by adding some media like rocks/sand during your layering process then scraping them off or? How do you like the KYX bumper? I was checking those out the other week

Body is mounted using stock body mounts with I piece of aluminum and Velcro. I've got some magnets ordered.

Tinytrux, yep. it was a 2 stage rust finish product sprayed down as a base, used coarse ground salt, and some finer salt, sprayed over with the blue and cleaned off after the paint dried.

Thanks B mow71!

Nice looking rig, and wow... that rust finish is awesome! I've never heard of the sand/salt layering method before. I'll have to check into that!

Welcome back, the TRX4 is a nice way to get back into it! Personally, I love the Cherokee XJ body on the TRX4 chassis.
