| Trx4 Traxxas part #2632
Has anyone else came across the Traxxas part #2632 the shock rebuild kit and put in the white bushing that’s in them instead of the thicker black one that is in the shock? Replacing it does wonders for shock movement and smoothness I mean HUGELY!! Just a little FYI for you guys!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No. It's a give and take - stiction vs leaking shocks. Thicker spacers compress the x-rings more which does more to prevent leaking, but at the same time it puts more pressure on the shock shaft and the result is more stiction. Thinner spacers are just the opposite - less compression of the X-rings and less stiction, but less sealing.

I have yet to come across a leaky shock but I’m running a heavier than stock oil, 70wt in the rear and 50wt in the front. And like I said, no leakage here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I run 15wt front and rear, undid the bottom collar and silicon greased the o rings, and put a drop of thread lock on the threads, then I did it up and back a quarter turn. She's super plush now with no leaks. Stiction is caused by a bottom collar being to tight.

Minus the thread lock, this is how I tweak all my GT5 shocks.
