Default Pandemic Project

Well, I must say, to just be a basic kit truck, this thing has turned out to be quite a looker!. All the extras in the kit take a non- scale generic truck and really dresses it up. I'm usually a scale guy , but I'm really loving the way this turned out( and yes I'm partial to orange...."Crush", to be exact.)

The build was a real pleasure and all the upgrades fit with minimal modifications.

It weighs in at 9lbs and not very top heavy, no real doodads the fall off, so I'm hoping for a real good performer out of this one. May add a homemade winch in the future.

Nothing wrong with orange! If you have seen any of my rigs, you'll notice that I am partial to orange too!

Your choice in graphics came out really nice and low-key - almost as if Monster released a pumpkin-spiced energy drink... (shudders inwardly)

The brass (which I usually hate seeing, prefer mine to be blacked-out) also looks great up against the orange!

Nice wheel choice, as well.

Thanks guys for the comments.I finally got out( kept my 6 ft dist) and found a few rocks...ridiculously NOT scale , but this thing is everything I was hoping it would be. It can crawl and very little gets in its way. Only thing , I went with Traxxas settings on body mount. Think I'm gonna have to raise quite bit to keep the tires from hanging up on wheel wells. Would like to run Pit Bulls but they are even bigger than stock tires. I can't wait to get in on a real course.!http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1585525776

Part of the issue looks to be how much offset is on the wheels. The stock wheels tuck much nicer into the wells with only minor rubbing.

Great job there, pal! When this all ends and you'll be able to take it out for a spin in more places, post other pics too.

What's the settup weigh without the body? That looks to be about a perfect scale/comp settup!!

Mass -hole , you make a good point. The foot print now is 10.5". I'm sure the original axles and knuckles would have had it well under that, but I really like a wide stance so I raised the supports a couple holes . we'll see how it goes.

The truck weight minus the body is 8lbs 2 oz. ( body weight right at 1.0lb)

With the Holmes Revolver 540 crawler motor , this thing creeps nice and slow and strong. I really like the way it feels at the controls. Steering servo is Savox HV
