| You might not have seen one of these before:-)
So I finally joined the crowd and got a rtr. Of course it didn’t even see a battery before I put a lift on and started tinkering. It has a lift, reconfigured links, longer shocks, reduced proline boggers, brass upgrades, brushless system and fresh paint. I just need to mount up the locked up wheels and it’s ready to go. My inspiration...the lift and tires and the fresh paint. Just needs some weathering and scale details as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That's awesome! What paint did you use?

| Re: You might not have seen one of these before:-) Tamiya paint...bright silver and dark metallic blue. I had the paint perfect the first time, then thought it was too dark, so I shot it with metallic blue. Unmasked it and the light shifted. Dammit! Too light. Remasked it and re-shot the dark blue. I'm happy with it now but my lines weren't as good the second time around. I also obviously painted the outside. RTR...Ready to Re-engineer! It's going to be a big ole beast on the trail...the way an old bronco should be! |

I'm waiting on the clear 8010 body to show up anywhere. Great paint scheme and work you did to achieve it.

Looks soo good! Saw over the weekend a vendor has a scale reverse cowl that you can add to the hood to finish it to be 1:1

Was Power Shift RC. I don't see it on his store or FB page, but shot him a PM asking about it and shared the link to this build

Hmm, I could use the cowl to hide the two screw holes of my magnetic mount.

He's got a ClodBuster hood scoop on his site, but he had taller scoops at the USTE on the table that were prototypes. Shoot him a PM on facebook and he can get you hooked up! https://store11415794.ecwid.com/Clod...coop-p95127506 |

Anybody with the slightest knowledge of 3D modeling could design a similar scoop in 10 minutes and upload it to Shapeways. It would probably cost more, but it would look much better.

Jato, The body is at stock position in the slider rails. The shocks are 110s. I had to play with the panhard and upper third link for clearance and no binding. The tires are definitely bigger than stock. The red and black picture is the big tires, the pretty pic is stock tires and wheels. Look again and you'll notice. |

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep it in mind, but I'm bound to find something laying around to build one. I've got plenty of lexan, a heat gun and a bad attitude. I'll post up in time.

So I finally got my wheels all locked up (pun intended!) and mounted. It’s sitting pretty now. Plenty of clearance for the big meats. I ran into a few problems after the lift though. With 110 shocks, the front diff cable is too short, so I hacked a chunk off and dropped it. I glued it with ABS glue. We’ll see if it holds. Otherwise I’ll fab something else up. I also addressed the bs micro servo problem and put a full size servo in. Fixed! Next up is figuring out the 4 channel locking situation and the aux wire for the mamba x.
