| Does this look acceptable to you?
Scoured the internet for days trying to source this body, only to have it show up looking like this, and worse yet - Traxxas is basically telling me to take a hike, and that's perfectly acceptable. Odd, my other Bronco/Blazer bodies aren't this terrible. Thoughts? |

Yeah that looks like a bad masking job. Did you buy it from Traxxas or a Traxxas dealer? I dont know that they warranty the quality of their paint jobs, I would just hope that they want to make it right. Maybe try contacting them again and hopefully you can talk to someone else. |

Yeah, I could almost live with the poor masking, but the under shot blue portion where white is spotty/showing through is bothersome. Especially considering the price. I've managed to get someone else on the phone and am sending photos - hopefully we can work something out. Unfortunately, this was literally the only one of these bodies I could find in stock - so not looking good on the replacement front. Ah well, what I really want is the 69 Blazer body, so I'll shoot for that one next time.

Considering the premium of a Traxxas pre painted body it’s unacceptable, my 2 cents

I would be upset with that. The picture of the back looks like One of my paint jobs.

I had something similar happen with my TRX 6 body. They eventually replaced the whole body, lights and everything. I wouldn’t give up on hammering their support. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Use some whiteout or other white paint and touch it up. Unless it's going to be a shelf queen and not get used, you probably won't care about the minor imperfections after it's been dirty and dusty.

Unacceptable for sure since these bodies cost right around $100. Keep up the pressure! Meanwhile, most model stores carry this real thin (2mm) black "trim" tape you could cover the bad tape job.

Looks like an OEM paint-job from GM, straight outa Detroit. That sucks, for the money, but I'm with Gula ... thin tape should cover the "fuzzies". |

I’d return that for the cost of these bodies. The tape trim idea is ok if you’re desperate to keep it, but it sounds like you’re not. Plus if you guys look closely at his first photo, it’s not just a hairy line, the blue paint is totally orange peeled along a good portion of the body below the mask line. That never should’ve passed qc imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah, I managed to get the shop to take the return. The hoops Traxxas wanted me to jump through were ridiculous to say the least. They said I'd need to pay to ship it to them for inspection in their "lab" and that the photos wouldn't suffice, nor did they tell me what the next steps would be if it was found to be defective. For $160, I said screw it and just returned it. I'll shoot for the 1969 Blazer body if/when it comes back in stock. Much like everything these days, there seems to be a massive shortage on these scale bodies... Appreciate everyone's input |

Weirdly enough my Trx new bronco I just picked up last week had a few blems also. 4 marks similar to this all over, some poor paint lines and tape residue on the inside from masking. I plan on running this thing but if I’d paid the $250 that want for just the body I’d be sending it back also Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
