Default Zohn addiction fed by vs4-10

I've been following all the vs4-10 threads out there and admiring all the paint jobs and just the sexiness of the chassis. Started budgeting a few weeks back and sunday and monday I got the bulk of the build materials.

Tuesday I got to bag f and finished the chassis today.

Painted the fenders and installed the electronics. MambaX, CC 2850kv, protek 3600 3s, 370tbl servo and a spectrum sr6000t rec. My rec is fully conformal coated so am thinking no radio box.

Starting the interior now and the body soon.

I've built about a dozen kits and this was by far the best packaged and highest quality build so far.

Going to try and to replicate the 70 scout 800A Aristocrat.
My dad had 1 of these in the early 70s and had a lot of good times in it as a 5-10 year old. He plowed with it in the winter and me and my brother would go along when we could and get the sidewalks while he did the drives.

Dark metallic blue top and hood with silver sides and a blue metallic interior.
And a cb radio of course.

Heading to the LHS for paint.

Thx pant danza and mikemcE for the info and inspiration.

Still at shop painting.dash is out of paint. I'm gonna throw some white LEDs behind the gauges and use some chrome pins in the center silver strip to simulate knobs and toggle switches.

Bruce is about passed on IPA's.

Looks real good Yamazohn. You got more done yesterday than I thought you would. Tell Bruce Chuck says stay off the sauce while painting. Crazy ass foo lol.

Is it sad we had that thought at the same time?

Interior almost done. Still need to light the gauges. Ground down some small screws and they are now knobs.

Bruce doesn't like it, he has realized he's about to undergo major surgery to fit inside.

Fabed up a dashlight bucket from styrene and stuck 4 5mm blue LEDs in the back

Didn't have a 9 volt at the shop so came home and powered it up

Got all the window mask on the body but still need to mask for window trim and 2 color paint. I'm trying to not use the kit trim stickers but may end up putting them on if my lines look bad.

Thinking of adding these light buckets(with orange lenses) under my headlights. What do you guys think?

Gauges look great! Very nice touch.

I like those light buckets too, but would it leave enough material underneath the light to keep from cracking? The lexan is good quality. Those might look slick in the grill also, even with the yellow.

Just realized where you have them is where they were stock and the size and shape look right too. Gets my vote!

I love the running light look, just make sure they don’t overpower the headlights. Bring it !!!

Fabed up some arm rests. Installed dash.

Bruce needed surgery to fit. Radical surgery

Did a bit of paint markering on the body

And got these cut in

That's it for tonight.
