Thanks for all the feedback guys, totally appreciated. Glad to know my sense of humor is appreciated AK, the name seemed appropriate The crawling out at the lake is a treat. Don't get out there as often as I would like, but its definitely my favorite place to pass the day. |

Where did the summer months go? It's been a fun one, thankfully that included lots of time with my teenage kids and the crawlers. Was out at the cottage by myself this past week and so had the luxury of endless patience on my side. Took advantage of it to shoot some video and take a bunch of pics of the Phoenix It was a gorgeous week of weather. Here are some Pics taken on the trail I massively expanded through the Covee years. These pics are all the sections that run along the lake. Some are north west facing others south and south-east. Cant say how much I love this rig...and these trails... Here is a link to a running video of my Northwest facing shoreline trail, 'The Greasy Beaver'. My rig borrows access to the water using the beaver's trail. https://youtu.be/BeZEUFJtHOc Last edited by smog; 09-07-2022 at 02:33 PM. |

Hard to figure what was more impressive... those tires, that scenery, or your driving. Probably the most enjoyable video I've watched in a long long time. Never thought I'd say it but watching your dirty pickle tackle that greasy beaver was a real treat. Thanks for sharing.

much appreciated Always nice to be by the water. That spot can get cooking on a hot day with all the black rocks. It was nice to catch it on a windy day. Thanks for checking it out! | |

Great pics and vid smog! Enjoyed watching the Dirty Pickle navigate them slick rocks. I was shocked at how well them Predator Krawlers did! Your trail system looks like a fun place to wheel the rigs! |

Thanks B, they are indeed fun trails. They have a bit of everything. The Pred's seem to do the best in the wet, there effectiveness only seems to wane when the temps get to the hotter side. The lugs get too soft. Rig has been great and taken some decent abuse from high tumbles onto rock. nothing has broken, but the body has seen its share of damage. The cab of the body has slightly crushed and some of the lexan has torn in the corners of the windows. All in all I have no durability complaints One of the screws holding the bed sides pulled through the lexan. Likely caught a branch in the woods And of course the typical cracks underneath the corner of the grill |

Hey, hey RCC, spring is here up here in the north so I can finally go out and get my crawl on. Been taking a few of the rigs older rigs out to see where they are at and what needs to be done. Had the Phoenix out on Sunday. Love this rig. Definitely one of my favorites. This is a garden of smashed concrete and quarter down that sits out in the corner of an old quarry. Over the years my sons and I have fashioned it into a really fun crawler course. It just keeps getting better and better as we refine it. Basically spent the entire weekend out there. Here is some pics from Sunday. Sent from my SM-G990W using Tapatalk Last edited by smog; 04-16-2024 at 08:24 AM. |
