i had to limit mine by over an inch so for competion use no if your just building to have fun and get as much articulation as possible and dont care about wheelbase then yes it all depends on what you plan on useing the chassis for

I tried 4" shocks, way too much flex for a comp truck. as stated below, IMO. And that was just flexing it on the bench without tires.

I am running the Losi .9's built at 3.6". Perfect for me and this chassis.

I am really liking this chassis with the berg axles.
Great construction, awesome skid and plenty of room. It has alot of adjustability too. I ran it the first time at a comp this past saturday and was really impressed. I am running it at about 3 1/4" GC and right at 12.4" wb.

Those shocks will work. Just limit the inside of the shock with fuel line tubing or a spacer to get the length that you want. I am going with this chassis soon.

Guys, 4" shocks will work with this chassis. I dont think mine are limited at all, but I will check as soon as I get a chance.

If you have any questions that I might be able to answer, feel free to post up or PM me.

My build thread. I just got this chassis on my rig after Crawlapalooza and I love it.

Well after getting the Vanquish chassis I wish I hadn't !
It's set up to triangulate to lower links, if you run straight links they hit the motors, I had to put the lower links on the outside of the chassis, and I was wanting to run 4in shocks too, but this chassis don't like them unless you limit them to about 3.5 in. And it don't like stock type Clod axles either, it look like it would work OK with either Berg's or Bully's. But the machine work is second to none. So now I guess I will go hunting some different axles and lower links are on the way, gonna to try RC Guys machined links with the shock holes in them, might give me some more articulation

I'm really liking the looks of this chassis.
What is the measurement between the link mounting holes on one of the side plates ?

I thought the same thing about the 3.5" shocks. I was wrong. I am running 3.8" shocks and love them. Just slightly limited some 4" er's. Way better than the 3.6" i was running. Doesn't sound like much but way better. Getting about 65 deg of flex. Works good.

Just read you put clod axles under it. Opps. I am running bergs.

:?

Joe, this chassis is set up for Berg/bully axles. Are you trying to use this as a super chassis with the clod axles? I am running 4" shocks on my berg and they work perfect.

If you get berg axles, let me know and I will help you with the setup.

Just wanted to say, I just recently took the dive into MOA and with the help of some ORCRC top dawg locals I decided on this chassis. I'm glad I did, this thing flat out works and my finishing places have never been higher. I took 7th in the AWCC Qualifier #4 against some amazing drivers and I've never been so happy.
