Default Crawlorado719 Vaterra Ascender build..

Got it yesterday...finished at a roller. Today will be electronics and tomorrow video. Stay Tuned! I must say this rig is ahead of its time.

Just to give an idea of beefyness of chassis rails...axial on left (chopped for truggy)

Roller...

If you have a Scx10 and really like it and don't think it can get any better...stock for stock the Ascender wins all day everyday from now on or until axial kicks their engineers.

The gold paint is spectacular! Great choice. What gold is that? How did the stock tires compare to the Growlers in terms of grip? Do the Growlers rub on the shocks or anything at full stuff and/or full lock?

can you expand on this a bit..what makes it better, articulation, turning radius etc

i have 3 scx10's and a TF2, thinking of getting this kit but not 100% convinced as yet

I ran the stock tires unglued for maybe 10min...they did good for a test run around the course. The Growlers required some additional trimming and does rub at full articulation (not bad)..as for full lock the come very close but no contact from what I have seen. Hope that helps...

I have like you multiple scx10's and a tf2....yes stock for stock the Ascender does better in all aspects...maybe it's the 100mm shocks along with cms/3link panhard that work. It's probably worth your time checking out. I need to run my g6 side by side with it this weekend.

Interior done..

Metal fun tomorrow!

What material are you using for your interior? Where did you find your back seat?

All styrene and thin aluminum for the seats. The rear bench is a Dinky RC yota bench I had laying around.

Some sliders I make for the Ascender...

What type of body filler are you using on the contours of your styrene?
