Thumbs down Another broken truck

Went to hit the trails today for the first time and didn't make it out of the parking lot before my rear diff broke and snapped my drive shaft. I'm so happy with this truck right now let me tell you. The parking lot caused me $30 in parts to fix but those stock ones are not going back in it. So it's getting shelfed until upgrades come out. Now before you guys start tearing me apart I work at a hobby shop. I have built many kits. I had the slipper 5 1/2 turns out.

I beat the snot out of mine before I got the rear drive shaft to break. I am now waiting on some upgrades to come out for it as well! MIP is on the way!

I'm not mad at the drive shaft it was the r/p gear that caused it all and in a parking lot.

Why don't you calm down and contact Vaterra/Horizon so they can get you some new gears. Just maybe the ones you had were defective from the start.

I don't need to calm down. If you figure in the time to build plus cost of kit electronics and all I read about is r/p gears and drive shafts it's bs. I think anyone would be.

I just ripped my rear end apart and the ring and pinion are gone with the driveshaft. Half the pinion is gone... Just thought it was the driveshaft only but I was wrong! Phoning Vaterra shortly! Not cool as you would think they would be stronger!
Running
HH Crawlmaster 13T
BRXL
3S batt
Not even brushless yet. My axial stock gears at least held up for a month with a pro4.

I have a brushless system in mine and happy to report nothing has broke yet. Fingers crossed it was a bad batch..knock on wood. Got a couple hours of drive time in. Some rocky creeks and trail driving.

Mip shows a date of 10/30. I'm afraid that for me the problem was the pinion gear and would really like to see hardened ones.

I'm loving mine so far, I've beat the snot out of it almost every day since I built it. I run a 17.5t dynamite sensored motor on a mmp with 2s Lipo. I've had it bound hard in rocks, bouncing hard and still no issues. Awesome truck in my opinion. With all this truck has to offer the small number of people having issues wasn't enough to turn me off from buying one.
