| Another new to me ascender!
Hey guys! So a while back a good honest friend of mine with CP was really in the dumps after an internet deal went horribly wrong resulting in the loss of a very expensive drift car that be was supposed to be trading for an ascender kit that he was going to try to build with one hand. He was also going through some also life trivials and was just down. So i hooked him up with my ascender for a silly low price and a pay whenever you can plan. rtr all set up on paddle remote for one handed operation well knowing i would get another one day. It absolutely turned him around and ive seen just the most amazing streak of good fortune come with his now very positive attitude. So yesterday the second sweetest deal ive ever seen on an ascender fell into my lap (karma i suppose) i got a fully built kit with unpainted body, tekin 35hd savox waterproof servo and axial rx/tx for $200 cad! So ive cut some 2.2 boggers i had laying around down to 1.9 and mounted them on vattera beadlocks. Also will be tucking the bumpers inside the body to increase approach angles. I plan on gun metal with black roof to keep it clean. Sorry for the long winded story guys just though id share some of the best of my rc experience which is seeing people happy! Stay tuned folks! Will be updated as i go also will hope to include some shots of both ascenders out on the trails! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well made some progress today! All trimmed up and painted. I really like how the bumpers tucked under. Just some poser shots as im waiting on some hard pinions as the orig owner blew em up. Will try swap in an axial rear axle just to try it while i wait the week and a half for parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The bumpers look great, which led me to check some 1:1 reference pix. Turns out that stock 1:1 bumpers sat even higher, which creates more opportunities to improve approach and departure angles. I'm going to have to implement that in my build. Thanks for the idea!
