| ToyZuki's ascender
Finally got an ascender to start wrenching on! First thing to do was to swap the sliders from left to right. I'm ditching the battery mount and using the mounting holes in the back to raise the rear upper links. While I had it apart I mirrored the skid plate so the trans input shaft faces forward and the drive shafts are on the same side as the front upper link. Thats as far as I got for the night, but the plan is to mount the motor and spur gear up front and down low like I do on the scx10. More to come as time allows. |

I'm with rc2000. Can't wait to see what you rig up for the front mount. Wondering if you figured anything out for your rig yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by THX_138; 06-05-2015 at 08:47 AM. |

I'm curious about this mount as well. I have the GCM kit on my truck and while it is very nice, it does put the top of the motor higher than the shock towers. It is taking some creative body modification to lower the body where I want it when the motor is hitting the inside of the hood before the shock towers.

Yes it does. I was looking at flipping the skid, just haven't got to it yet. I'm excited to see what else you plan for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapascrap |

I have a prototype, just need to turn it into cad and start testing. I ended up using an axial motor plate because the stock one is huge and doesn't fit between the rails without modification. I also used an axial input shaft, slipper, and spur gear. I like to keep things simple and reuse parts, but the ascender input shaft is really long and the motor plate is huge. Plus I've got a ton of axial parts here to work with. I'll do the photobucket thing and try to get pics up tomorrow.
