Default Ascender Rear Leaf Spring Conversions at GCM

Hiya!
With all this new stuff going onto Ascender platforms, our scale trucks are taking another notch up with these Leaf Spring kits from gcmracing.ca, shown in our Ascender truck section!

All the Leaf Spring Kits are finished in Black anodize and we have the option to add a Tamiya Leaf spring pair to either the Stage 1 or the Stage 2 All the kits and parts come with the needed hardware to assemble, and the fit is just right!

Check out all the bits here at this link: >>GCM Ascender mounts, bumpers, leaf kits, and more<<

Well done. The engineering and production look first rate. But don't forget the SCX10 guys

Awesome! Our favorite Canadians are going strong with new killer parts
The stage 2 really cleans up the rear of the ascender

Have you seen where the leafs are on the 1:1 truck?
There's at least 5 reasons why we did this, from a parts fitment and engineering perspective.

Those are 1.9 slotted mags.

I will say this certainly makes me want to build a 2nd Ascender!

Probably a dumb question, but will this take away some off the torque flex? Only reason i havent bouth one yet.
Looks awsome btw.

OOps, I guess they are thanks for the correction.

They should help, leaf springs are more resistant to torque twist/flex than link type suspension. There's always a rear swaybar if needed, but I think you'll be fine with just the Ascender and leaf spring conversion. There's also this solution:

Anti Torque Twist solution

Buy one, you wont' regret it.

More great stuff from GCM. Since I can't bring myself to neuter my first Ascender (the links with cantilevers just work too darned well), I guess I'll have to build a second and leaf it, lol. Good thing I just cleared out some room in the garage.

Anyone running these yet? I'm tempted to order a stage 1 set but I've been happy with how my truck is running.

I know a couple guys are, but I've not tried them.

What's your current setup? I just searched and your thread doesn't say current setup either?
Ordered an Ascender

Haha, I'm running Vaterra aluminum shocks. That's my only suspension upgrade.

GCM is sold out of the shock relocation and the Stage 2 kit. Anyone know if the stage 3 is the only one they will have now? I am thinking the longer inboard mounted shocks would give a bit more flex with the leaves than the new kit allows. please chime in if you have any experience with both.
