I don't know the official thickness, but it seems like about 35wt. I refilled mine with 30wt after drilling out the stock piston holes with #55 drill bit and it's just right. Vaterra aluminum shocks I have not messed with, they are stock pistons and oil and feel good with stock piston/oil setup.
