Default Getting the f100

First time post, new to crawling, but life long RC'er
I was going to pick up the F100 and pretty much keep it stock, or perhaps turn with wick up with another motor. Will be ordering the battery relocation tray and run 2C lipos. From searching, these rigs seem pretty stout out of the box.

Anything else I need to upgrade reliability?

As far as reliability on the f100 the only thing that needs to be changed is the servo. Everything else is very durable.

I have the f100. Still on stock electronics, I like how it runs. Not necessarily a need to change anything before you find its limitations. They sure are fun to modify though...

servo would be the thing to change. Other than that, it should run fine.

truth... but don't need it right away.

It's the one nice thing about the Ascender.... other than the servo... not much needs to be upgraded out of necessity. Just upgrades that actually upgrade.

You own a 78 f100? Would love to see a picture of it. Assuming you are in Dublin, Ireland I imagine it would be a particularly rare vehicle over there?

My local shop has the Ascender F100 BND in stock and they also have the Yellow Chevy version in stock as well if you can't fine one. Just let me know and I will get you the info to get in touch with them.

Clearly the immigrant Irish weren’t feeling all that creative when they settled down

This Dublin stuff made me curious. So I looked it up. There's 19 cities in the US that are called Dublin. What's funny is quite a few are not Irish at all. The name came from the term "double in" which became Dublin. Pretty crazy.

‘Double in’? Do you remember what that refers to? It’s not an expression I am familiar with, but intuitively sounds like a gambling term.

Some were gambling terms technically. The others were things involving the industry they were involved in like logging etc.

Its ironic, but theres is nothing Irish about this city, except the name. Oh sure, we have st paddys day parade. There was an Irishman that wanted to do some developement out here. He felt he could carry on his heritage of design. So he comes out here, gets to meet all the city politicians, and pretty much says "this is it??" "This is your Dublin?"

A city named after Dublin because of all of the irish people there in the 1890's but its not irish? What does irish look like?
