Thumbs up Sister's Hammer ... "thumbs up"

hiya ...

hope everyone is doing well ...
I am going to start a thread about my Vanterra Twin Hammer.
Its all stock now what ever mods i can think of doing i plan on doing. I did adjust the stock shifting servo to try and fix the binding problem, but it still binds. I am thinking i am going to replace the shifting servo asap.

I plan on making some body panels, I have some vinyl(?) material that is suppose to be used as a cutting board, thin and flexible. I am really hoping this stuff will hold paint, too.

have these to install behind the faux buckets, (i do plan on removing the paint) going to insert LEDs.

well making the panels, i am thinking of cutting the front faux buckets out and mounting them with LEDs installed on a new hood panel.

OH .. and a new driver..

going to drive it through the weekend as is and then break it down.
I will then be adding ...
servo winch
more leds
new esc n motor ... 3s?
plus more ...
also switching it over to my DX6i.

open to ALL suggestions on the shifting servo ...

I will be posting images as i go along of my changes, builds, and installs. If u want some info or a pic of something close up, LMK ...

thank you and thank you for watching!

Dominic

I would say change the shift servo first, even after setting epa's on mine it burnt out in about 5-10mins today. or at least strip it down and centre the servo horn to the right location. then set epa's.

where are you thinking of mounting the servo winch? be interested to know!

The shift servo should only be used while in motion, it will always bind when not moving I am one of the lucky ones.....no problems with mine and I never adjusted it

Like the lights

In stock form I thought it was a pretty ugly rig. But with what you have done to it I like it a lot more. Would love to hear how it performs.

yes, i used the tamiya high lift buckets. they are a bit smaller than the axial, plus have a reflective surface.

those are the fronts for the tamiya light buckets. the hole is where u would drop the screw and attach them. then add a sticker or some type of cover. Didn't work out ... as u could see. but there are lots of possibilities for these.

thanks!
I really like the way it is looking. i removed the stock roof panel and made one from the same material. looks great. (i will add a pic later)
I am also making a new smaller and brighter light bar this evening.

I will add pics this evening ....

thank you again for looking and commenting!

sorry about that ....
Tonight i am ripping out the stock electronics ... my idea right now is to stand the servo up right against the steering servo. from there running a tube to the front for the line to exit. I plan on using air hose from a fish tank... to run the line. very flexible and i have it sitting around.

thats the idea right now.. i will take pics.

I used hot glue.. wanted to make sure there were going to be to my liking. main reason i dont want to shoo them down now. I do like them, but i like the new roof i did. I will put a pic up later tonight. I do plan on ordering a stock clear body sometime soon ... maybe paint it orange.
