Default TH tranny ratios vs stock scx10

i'm thinking of dropping a th tranny into my scaler and was wondering if anyone had an idea of how the drive ratio compares to a stock scx10 tranny. basically is the hi-gear faster/slower/the same as the scx10 tranny? (assuming stock th tranny/spur and scx10/spur).

inputs are welcome.

thanks for the info. so the th tranny in high with the same motor/pinion/spur as the axial tranny would have a faster output. works for me.

added question: does anyone have a measurement of the th tranny from front to rear on the outputs? curious how much longer it is than the scx10 tranny.

Run a slightly faster motor and you can crawl AND race around the yard.

so, is the swap worth it? the scx10 tranny with rr internals has always done fine but I have an itch to try out a two-speed tranny. for reference I currently run a novak goat 3s (only using 2s batteries) with an 18.5T crawler motor.

I did the swap and think it was the best move for myself, I'm running a Tekin Pro4 3300kv on 3s and the TH idler gear didn't like it at all. Since the combo was sensored and had so much power on tap I rarely used low gear anyway.

I used the HotRacing alum trans that's packed with their steel gears and it's a tough mofo, The stock drive shaft isn't the correct length nor did I have one in my treasure draw so I modded the stock shaft via cutting and re-welding it to the needed length. I also used a piece of flat titanium to make a plate for strength for the trans bolts since the plastic chassis is somewhat thin and the new holes so close to the stock holes. Alum or thin steel can be used as well of course.

If you can find the correct lenth shaft needed or have a welder it's a very worthy swap IMHO
