Default Stock motor finally dead!

I time most of my runs with my hammer and wraith packs. I ran over 60 times at an average of 8-9 minutes a pack. That's a conservative 8 hours of run time on one stock mabutchi motor (and a 15 turn at that). That has got to be one of the longest lasting closed endbell motors I've ever had. There wasn't a single run that I didn't have to use the air compressor just to see the green stripe on the body. I would say it's a good motor for a stocker!

Now to find a replacment!

For now I'm going to pull the armature out of the stock motor and put it in and old reedy Mr.! can that I have laying around. Comm needs a little love but I think I can make it go again!

I don't crawl with this thing. I treat it like a dune-buggy. I'll have to update the pics of my track with the two new banked turns. The dirt in my back yard is very sandy and it eats bearings and cvd's like valve grinding compound. And for what the motors cost to replace (10-20$ for stockers) I think it's good?

Truly, I applaud your restraint. Had wanted to do same, but those sealed-can bushings just kept goading me to chuck them. That, and a $10 15T Team Brood Checkpoint teardown jumped outta my screen. Not that I was looking...

Where'd you find that? All the local shop has in stock is a couple 12 turns and a 35 crawler.
