Mat's Ham-mer Sandwich

Bought my TH second hand a little while back, didn't see the point of buying new as I planned to hack and replace most of it sooner or later lol



First mod was to chop the rear cage and lose the rear over hang....but I still wanted the spare wheel on there and the battery up back because the truck is so

nose heavy.

Some thinking and head scratching and I came up with this.......



I used an old XR10 battery plate (I think it is!!) and some cable clips.....



I fitted the stock wheel mount to the plate and the whole lot swings up out of the way enough to change the battery.

Quick and easy to release with a pull of a body clip....



I've given it a good testing cart wheeling the truck for 15ft after jumps and so far so good lol!!

The shocks were from Asiatees and I think they are scx10 ones from topcad.

Took my TH to the recent King of the Valleys event here in South Wales and got the top 3 drivers to sign the roof lol! BTW they loved the truck

I did but they're just short clips on my phone, if you search YouTube for "king of the valleys" there's loads of quality videos on there though

Only wish I could go to the KOH!! :-D

I did have some 1.55 Pit Bull Growlers on but they ended up on another project

I really like the look of them on there but I had to shave the knuckles down because the where rubbing badly.

Decided against it in the end because I eventually want to get the Vanquish castor blocks and knuckles and I don't want to be filing them down!! lol
