Default Selecting New Shocks

I currently run the King shocks with faux reservoir's. I am going to be dumping the kings and moving to something with a little more performance. I have decided that I want to run the Gmade piggybacks, but I want to run one set as a coil over the other as a smooth body. With my kings I just did not put the springs on. I can't decide if I should do the same with Gmades or buy a different brand of shock to run as just a smooth body. Another idea I had was buy the Gmade aeration shock to run as a smooth body. Just ideas, I am not to familiar with what shocks are good and others not so good,

Any suggestions as to what brands are good with performance or suggestions to shocks to run as just a smooth body?

Thanks for the help in advance
