Default Twin Hammers Help Needed

I ran my modified Twin Hammers in the U4RC 1.9 IFS race yesterday and ended up having my front diff pinion lose most of its teeth.

The ring gear looks pristine however, the back half of the diff case where the pinion shaft exits is too scarred up to reuse. I believe the culprit was the 1 million weight diff oil was to thick and when my KLR on the one side got jammed the heavy diff lube wouldn't let the diff unload the other wheel.

I have a new front diff case but it looks slightly different, seems to use smaller outer diameter pinion bearings and the ring gear rubs the inside of it to where it won't spin even close to freely.

My TWH was a 1st gen to the best of my knowledge, I received it in a trade.

I have not been able to find HD bevel cut gears to fit the diffs for this rig either.

I am running it on 3S with a 3150kv... I like my big blocks.

SOOOOOO my questions are...

Is there a possibility of making an Axial Yeti front diff setup work?

Are there any HD diff gear sets for the TWH?

Is there a difference in front diff cases for the different variants of the TWH? IF so what are the corresponding part numbers?

Are there any other options, not including less power, that are out there?

Thank you,
Jason (pics below)

Here are the images of the two different versions of the front diff case on the pinion side.

The one on the left is the old one, the one on the right is the new one.

Good to know. Which diff cup did you use, TH or Baja Rey?

Nice carnage btw, love the horsepower. Interesting, what size are old and new bearings? Got an inside front diff case comparison pic?

I haven't personally used them but I have heard that the Baja Rey diff is cup is the same as the Twin hammers just with a metal insert.

So the Baja Rey diff gears fit? That would be awesome due to the helical cut ring and pinion

Well that'd be awesome since their helical cut allows a lot more surface contact... same with the diff cup housing too.

Ordered one set of the Baja Rey ring and pinion. If it is AWESOME I'll get the same for the rear.

Thank you

I own and know that the Chinese TH clones use a different case that uses larger bearings and a 6mm pinion and matched driveshaft. Everything else is interchangeable. Could it be that you were sold a clone?

Frack me... that sounds more like what this is... damn. Explains a few things.

Thank you, thought I was going nuts.
