| MOA Dig Controller for Two Position Channel
This dig controller will give you all three modes of operation with a Two Position Channel. You will have four wheel drive, front dig and rear dig. Don't feel left out of a full functioning rig if your transmitter only has a two position third channel like on a DX3.0 or an unmodified TQ3 etc. If you have seen my thread on the Winch Controller for Two Position Channel, it works in a similar fashion. Each time you toggle the third channel, it will change modes. First, on power up, it would be in 4WD
Part No. DIG2 $65 plus shipping. Last edited by heyok; 07-25-2017 at 06:39 AM. Reason: Photobucket support over, switching to imgur |

How are these holding up. This is the first time I have seen these. Pretty much what I'm looking for to use with my dx3s. Are there any instal threads here on the board?

Actually, there was one... I forget who it was, but he had some trouble soldering and I think applied a little too much heat when soldering on the motor leads. He sent it back to me, I repaired it and soldered on wires for him. I found a couple of mentions of the dig controller: XR10 Picture Archive XR10 Picture Archive This one has a video of it being used: Berg doing the back stroke, Teaser vid.

If you are going to run dual ESCs, the MOA dig controller really isn't for you. For that, you would want a transmitter that can do a mix on the throttle and another channel. The GT3B or GT3C with the firmware hack is ideal. If you want to use a transmitter with a two position third channel to control your dig, then this is the right product for you. It only requires one ESC to do it. You would connect it just like in this drawing: What the dig switch will do is direct the power from the one ESC to both motors, or just the front motor, or the just the rear motor. When only one motor is getting power, the controller puts an electrical short across the motor that is stopped which acts as a brake and locks (or slows) that axle. Did that description help?

Thanks for your reply, I have the esc's set up in one channel, a y connector for the power. I have a turnigy GTx3 which is just a cheap Flysky, exactly the same. there is a 2 pos button as a 3rd channel which i would use. So its slightly different to the diagram as each esc provides a motor power. Thanks |
