Kevin,
The offsets look pretty deep. You'd probably need a special widener set up. Maybe that's part of the package or an option. The other thing is the width 2" would be to much for me. Other than that there very nice looking.

Storm/Franky...The offset of this prototype set was intended for Clod axles and WK axles. We have the same style wheels in the works for TLT/Axial offsets. The wheel width is actually 1.0"...super narrow.

Hopefully Kevin will get these bolted up on his rig soon and get some more pics.

That offset wheel looks good. It's great to see a beadlock set up for a wider axle. Given a choice, I'd rather run a wider wheel (to the inside) to help keep the diffs from hanging up as much. Making the wheel narrower just makes the diffs hang up more. Still these appear to be huge step forward for the beadlock market.

Any idea on ETA and price?

Thanks guys...

A wider wheel is all good (in fact my personal wheels are 1.4" wide, shown in my wk build thread) but there is no room on a WK to move the inside of the wheel anymore towards the dif. As they are, there is only about 1/16" of clearance between the backside of the wheel and the knuckle pivot arm & stock axle C with this offset. This design puts the inside of the tire as far in as it can go without conflict and maintains a very narrow track width.

Have you guys tested them using the WK CVD's yet? Do the tires get close to the lower links at full lock..even using the stock shafts?

JIA's Dad is running these offset wheels (just another design) with CVD's on his Cobra with no issues. As for stock shafts, I flipped my lower link mounts to the inside of the axles, slid them flush with the axle C's, and have no rubbing at all between my tire and lower links lock to lock.

I have a set of wheels made by VF and use them on WK axles with CVDs on my Cobra. I also used aluminum hexes for extra strength. I love the wheels!!!!
I had ask others about a wheel that would narrow the Wheely King trac width, to help with axle clearance. Since I didn't find what I was looking for I spoke with Don about making me a set. After hearing the ideas I had, Don now makes wheels to help the Wheely King guys narrow thier rigs. He has added his own ideas too and now has a great line of wheels on the way. And they look and run great!!!

Well, this sells them for me. My link/shock mounts are rotated and slide up to the C's just like your saying...and as long as the added CVD turning still clears...I have no reason NOT to pick these up. Hurry up with'em already :-P

Here are some pics for you guys. For the clod axle there is a small amount of the un-threaded section that sticks out the front. So you'll have to run a washer or something to take this up so you can tighten down the nut. Not sure of the price or ETA yet. There will probably be different designs.

Yes, there is a small clearance issue with the kingpin we are looking into. There are a couple other refinements we are also going to look at. Some more pics:

Putting these wheels on the Wheely King, the problem was not with the wheels but the fact that the aluminum knuckle doesn't allow the screw to properly seat completely down into the knuckle (not enough threads). I cut the screw length down and then it threads completely down getting the screw head out of the way. You can see the space in the last two pics, the screw is not seated. Hope this helps.
