My pop's has been making these forever.These work better,and last longer than anything he has tried.He only has the better part of a century making trot lines. No frills here,just a serious trot line that makes putting out and picking up a breez in comparison to what you probably use now.

hooks are #6 or #7
hooks are aprox 38" spart
tag swivel within 36" of each end hook
12-15' of line past the last swivel
