Well, here's the newest addition to the gcmracing.ca store, a new 1.9 beadlock rim for any 1.9 tire. RC4wd, ProLine, or whatever. They all work. I've been wanting these for a long long time, thanks to having some of the 1:1 variety many years ago. As with any scale truck, we have a hard time finding and using hardware that is as small as our scale requires, but the beadlock feature of the rim is so appealing. And with the great tire choices and body styles available, gluing and re-gluing tires is not desirable. Now we have designed and produced a set of rims that bring back the full scale look and the beadlock function all in one package. As GCM Racing Wheel users have come to expect, we include a full brake rotor and hex hardware with every order. The brake rotor is driven directly from the axle pin, so there's no more hex or hex spacing to worry about, and the rotor and wheel combo is tucked into the axle as much as physically possible to create that stock wheel, underbody look but have the strength and reliability known as GCM Racing. We are offering 3 versions of these wheels at this time. They include 5 slot - 6 bolt dish, 5 slot - 5 bolt dish, and 8 hole - 5 bolt dish rims. This ensures your scale truck could have the axle bolt pattern match the real thing, be it on a Jeep or Chev or Ford or Toyota. ![]() These rims are a model of the Detroit Wheels Baja and use our 5 bolt rotors that drive right from the axle pin, no hex! All mounting hardware is included with each wheel. These fit in the same spacing as a stock Axial Honcho rim, with a narrow hex and a plastic Axial 1.9 beadlock. Fits the same way on the truck. It's hard to show in the pictures, but the wheel has a pretty significant polished dish in the center, a deep round curve all around the thing from the wheel bolts to the rim ring. The beadlock system uses a solid center ring that fits inside the tire. Then the rim face fits inside the tire, and the thin rear bead bolts on from the back, so there's no hardware up front, and it stays really clean looking. The 5 Slot rims are available in 5 and 6 bolt rotor setups, to match the popular Toyota axles or Dana44s if you want (haha). As seen on Deric's TOYota: ![]() ![]() The Rims are sold in single units, so you can easily order a spare or a 6x6 or trailer setups. We also now offer a 'Spare' which includes the rim components, but not the rotor or inner beadlock clamp ring, so the tire mounts like any non-beadlock setup, and holds perfectly for a spare! Plus you save money on that 5th rim you need for your setup. Pricing and availability and Pre-Orders are OPEN at gcmracing.ca We are going to make these in batches to keep the costs down, so please get your orders in before the cutoff date and be ready for delivery shortly after.
