Default CKRC mod 2 Problems

Has anyone done the suspension mod from CKRC Crawlers?
I have and a 540 can motor won't fit because of the link that goes between the chasiss plates.

lordy49 you have to lengthen the side plates on the front with a piece of aluminum on each side a half inch and this should work. Some where on the forum there is pictures of this done. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys,I am making plates to lift the link above the endbell. They should also strengthen the chassis and give it some rigidty.

The ckrc stage 2 kit not only prevents a 540 sized motor from being used but it also prevents you from being able to install a dig unit. Ckrc has the worst instructions for installation, there are always parts missing from thier kits, and they have the absolute worst customer service of any company out there.

I bought my'n from ckrc. Got my hb rovers and all my extra parts from them. They are very cool when ever i ask a dumb ass question and helpful. I think the ckrc stage two is disigned to run a brushless setup, and you can put a servo any wear if you can think of how to mount it so it will work the dig.

I'm with you Werty, I have emailed CKRC about these probs and they have been most helpful.I told them of the solution I came up with and they said they were considering something similar. I have yet to buy anything from them but I'm sure they will give good service.

Its amazing how many people have problems with there products that they steal the ideas from the original manufactures .

It amazes me that those idiots and there so called "team" doesnt even help when people like this post questions , they dont even come and help.

I know when people have problems , any of TCS or RCP people see someone having trouble they hop right in and help.

Nope, it doesn't work with a brushless motor either. I have the Novak Goat 18T brushless motor and I still had to modify the set up with the corner braces to clear the motor.

I still haven't been able to try it out with the new suspension, but nothing is stopping me this weekend. Not the wife, the kids, the house, or the weather.

I sent ckrc an email about this problem almost a month ago. They wanted me to call them, for help. I've called a few times with no answer. But in my opinon they should'nt sell a mod that needs to be modded to work. Anybody can do this susp setup for less than 10 bucks.
