Default Venom creeper not creeping

Hey im pretty new to the rock crawling scene and apologize if im not posting in the right section. I just finished building my venom and installed a Tekin FX-R ESC with the TEKIN 55T motor and it is WAY to fast. i setup the ESC a couple of times and no difference. i am wondering if the venom itself is made to go this fast? or is it my ESC/Motor combo? My brother i was testing it with has an ax10 with a rooster/55t combo and drives nice smooth an slow.

It shouldn't be to fast. I have the same combo with stock gearing in one of mine and I think it is to slow. I run the fxr 45t in another creeper and think its just right. Your brothers axial and your creeper are most likely geared different and will make a huge difference in the torque and speed. You could always gear down with the pinion. Go to maybe a 12 tooth pinion (15 tooth is stock I beleive) or just be light on the trigger until you need the extra wheel spin.

OK thanks. we played around in the garage pretty late so ust to test we piled anything we could to get some articulation with the trucks. I noticed at certain times extra wheel speeds helped. I just wanted to make sure i didnt blow anything up. still working out the bugs in the truck.
