I just could not leave it alone. So this is what I did to it. 1) CKRC RockStar chassi 2) Axial Tranny 3) Custom 115mm upper links 4) Traxxas drivelines and yokes 5) Proline 70's chevy body At first I tried an R2D2 tranny I got from someone here. The tranny was toast, but I will not mention from who. What comes around goes around. So stock Axail Tranny was installed. I had to relocate the upper links a little lower on the Rockstar Chassi. The nuts on the inside would rub on the drivelines. All in all was a fairly easy build. I tested on a few rocks at the house. It seems very worthy. Will have to wait till Sunday to really test it out. |

Looks good. What's it like out on the rocks? Did you happen to notice how much lighter the axial tranny was compared to the venom tranny?

I like it, but looks far to low for the stinky lips on the rocks around here. Why the Axial tranny?

I'm guessing he's sitting at about 2 1/4" or there abouts. I looked were the middle of his chassis was and it sits about the middle of the wheel. So I measured on mine. Just a guess.

I hit the rocks yesterday and was very impressed. Went out w/Rockassasin and his Berg. It pretty much did everything he did. Much better then stock. It did hang up a little from being kinda low. I did a little tweeking this morning and now got 2 1/4" clearance. Gonna take it back out today and see how it does. |
