| driveshaft problem solved
i figured out the driveshaft problem .. heres how to fix it take your stock driveshaft apart go get a losi 8ight exhaust hanger (these are extremly strong) and cut it a hair bigger than the origanal next drill out the metal inside of the driveshaft (sorry i forgot what its called) lol next put the pin in and and "pean it" (meaning smash the ends so they are bigger than the hole itself ) after you have "peaned the pin" get some epibond epoxy and put it around the pin lastly put some shrink tubing around the pin i dont think that pin is coming out anytime soon LOL problem solved Last edited by crawler-kid; 12-12-2009 at 02:14 PM. |

That is a good idea. Hopfully you won't have to take them apart in the future.

I've found that a Rolled Spring Pin or Music Wire has worked the best and is readily available as well. During my intial build I did the heat shrink trick and the pin still ripped thru the heat shrink and the plastic DS. Since then I have upgraded to the Traxxas DS & Steel Yokes and have last alot longer then the original set-up and heat shrink trick Chris |

Peaned, epoxied, and heat-shrunk...a bit overkill but there's nothing wrong with that I like it and I think I'll try it as I bought spare driveshafts so no point in upgrading yet. Richard |

You don't have to worry about the pins coming out.
