| 55t or 60t
I have read most of the threads here and have one main question. I am about to get a creeper and want to know a bit more about motor choice. My last crawler was a very choped and modded txt based super that was nice and slow and more torque than was healthy for the old axles. I like slow ( moderate walking pace ) and gobs of low down torque. I am considering the 60t motor as I have a pile of 48p tamiya pinions from 15-22t so I figured that with the stock creeper running a 55t on a 15t pinion I should be close with the 60t motor on the set of pinions that I have for a nice slow crawl. I like slow on the ground as my boats give me the speed on the water. For the Creeper when it lands here I will build and run it box stock....... and then go for the 70mm uppers, bta, split packs to lower cg, new shock mounts for added adjustment........etc. |

I'd go the 60T if you have lots of pinions.

Thanks for the input so far, if it makes any difference I'll be running 6 standard sub-c cells on this on. My lipos are for my boats (for now) I have a lot of loose cells GP3300, IB 3600, 4200. So I can make packs to suit. I'll wait for the Creeper to get here and then sort out cell configuration later. |
