Default RC4WD 540 Silver Can Motors...

Are these any good? The price seems too good to be true. Have you guys ever used these before, any issues like maybe they don't fit on the Creeper 'cause they're too long or something?

It's just a bone stock non-rebuildable 80t crawler motor. I would try and stick with a 35t-55t motor, 80t is quite high for a crawler motor. Tons of torque but no wheel speed

It's just one of those motor's that when it wears out it's remove and replace.

So 80 turn is too high, 35-55 turn it is then. I figured since it was closed end bell I wouldn't be able to change brushes or cut comm, kind of like the Traxxas Titan 12T motors (disposables like razors). Why do they make higher turn motors like the 65-80 turn motors?, what are they good for?

Some guys and some applications call for a higher torque motor, most guys run between a 35t and a 55t motor.

An 80t motor would be good for like a 6x6 or 8x8 unimog or something that weights a ton.

I know what I think a 6x6 or an 8x8 is, I've seen the Tamiya Unimog but do you have an example of what you are telling me about, I don't think I've ever seen an rc 6x6 or 8x8. So maybe an 80 turn would be good for a tank or something that doesn't need a whole lot of wheel speed for crossing a chasm.

Hey man thanks so much for sending me that link, that wa scertainly an education in other areas of the crawling scene. Crawler haulers should have their own class for sure that was an impressive video as well. I wish I had that kind of dedication.
