Default Snapped a C-Hub

I'm thinking a pin worked it's way out of the CVD, and caused a bind to snap the C-Hub.

That's cool. I think it's the CVD that caused all the chaos

I just replaced one too. We got a little rough playing king of the hill at our lhs layout lol. Had to buy plastic since everyone was sold out of aluminum c's.

I would say the aluminum c's would be a good upgrade. The stock c's are strong, but if you play hard, I would buy a set to install. Then you'll have extra stockers for the other creeper

I think part of the problem is that my kid (5yr old) does not really know when to let up. Creeper does not have a slipper, so it's not gonna give.

From looking at what broke....I think the pin worked it's way out, and bound up the VCD, and snapped the C hub. Had some aluminum tape around the CVD, but obviously not enough to keep the pin in. Maybe next time put a set screw on both sides of the CVD joint.

it'll still work it's way loose with two set screws. I've had two in since the first build (all four shafts) and still had to use heat shrink to keep them in. Next I'm going to use formed brass tube.

Has anyone tried to see if the threaded parts are threaded all the way through on your rigs? I noticed that mine was not. If you have a 2.5 hex Screw you can run that all the way through to tap it. Mine was not threaded all the way and the screw was not making tight contact with the pin. Now that I have done this I get a tight normal fit. It is worth a try."thumbsup"

I would like to hear this from someone who has put them on their creeper.
It's the aluminum c-hubs that Venom makes for the axial right?

How is it possible? The axial axle tubes are round and the creepers are hexagonal where the c's bolt up.

Wonder if the Axial C-hubs ID fits over the hex, and can be secured by the 2 screws?

I don't know ill have to check it out. My only concern would be not making enough contact on the ends due to a different designs and possibly having more stress on the screws.

Well no need to "make" them work. A few venders have the HR c-hubs in stock. Just ordered mine . And the other online stores should be getting them too.
