Performance depends on individual tuning/setup and the experience of the driver. But layout of the 2 are very similar in layout. My axial is an artr with all aluminum links like my venom.

Pick the one that suit your 1/2 your budget because you will need the other half for hop up parts.

I'd go with the Venom. I ordered mine from CKRC, RTR kit A for $254 and $18 ship n' handling. So with your budget youd be able to get the dig and remote diff lockers. The rtr kit A comes with a venom three chanel radio and reciever. venom batterey, an onyx 100 peak charger, speed control, and either a 50 or a 55 turn fireball motor. mine came with the 55t. Good luck shopping

go with the creeper and def get a dig but i wouldnt do the remote locker just do the washer mod so they stay locked. I had a fireball 55t in mine and it burnt up i wouldnt go fireball i went with a integy 45t i like it better bc it has alittle more wheel speed to bump over stuff but that just my 2cents

Creeper + Axial trans = best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Default Best Bang for the Buck

So you recomend swapping out the creeper tranny for an axial?
Is it more or less a straight swap? or is there cussing and fitting and more cussing and shimming and then finally it fits?
Does Axial sell just their tranny?
did you get a venom dig or an Axial dig or an aftermarket dig like Vanquishes?

Im using mine as a sportsman rig. So no dig. You can buy used axial transmissions off here for around $20 for a stock one. They are better because they are MUCH smaller, sit lower, and lighter. The best way to do the swap is to buy a aftermarket chassis and make your own thinks!

Im having HUGE trouble here. Im not sure if I should get The Venom or Axial, I pretty much know all the pros and cons, but I get nothing but fanboys usually stating Axial is better.

My budyy has an Axial but im not sure if I want that? Stock shocks look better on the Venom.....anybody has any 2 cents to throw in here?

crazy dd,
i can not reply about the axail as i have not drove one or
owned one ,but i do own the venom and i like it a lot.
i know in the stock form it has a high center of gravity
but i think they both do,in stock form.
so far i have put 3 oz of weight in the front tires, and
went to the rovers, white compound.
wow what a difference tires can make they kick butt
over the stock ones.i went with the rooster crawler combo
and a 150 ozin servo.i know could have gone more but it works for me.
i think the next mod is to lower the center of gravity by putting
the battery over the axles.
