| My Creeper, work in progress. Been mucking around with a creeper for a few weeks now. I put it together as the instructions indicated first off then decided it could be improved apon. Here's what I have come up with so far. I only spend a hour or so a week on it as I work 60/70 hours a week and also have a wife and 3 kids all under 5 (the kids, not the wife). It seems to crawl pretty well now, although I will be upgrading the tyres sooner rather than later. There are a few other things that could be improved apon aswell which I will update on here after the mods have been done. |

Looks great but I would move the antenna off the metal frame, known to cause interferance issues. Try to keep it away from anything metal.

I love it, although I may be a little biased in my opinion. Did you ziptie the front shocks? nice idea, does it allow enough motion? Now, you've got me thinking again. What's that buzzer thingme on the side of the electronics cover? LiPo cutoff alarm? Kurt - it's a Pro-line tuber chassis, the only metal is the screws. But, I agree moving the antenna is a good move .... it'll get chewed up in it'spresent location. |

I didn't realize it was plastic, disregard my previous statement. Must be pretty durable, does it take impacts well?

Be careful, your throttle might stick and you could loose control. |

Do you have the Shock ZIP TIED to the tube frame???? If so that cannot help with crawling.....imo How well do the shock work like that?? Other than that dose look good for a plastic cage for sure! |

Cheers fellas. The front shocks are zip tied at the moment while I construct some shock hoops to mount them to. They actually perform really well with the current set up, so with a proper shock hoop design to mount them to they should, in theory, perform even better. I will be switching to a deans plug shortly. The antenna is basically just wrapped around the back of the tuber chassis to keep it out of the way for the moment while I'm working on it. I have since added mesh to the front screen and both side window areas and also made a "bonnet" and "roof" panel for it. I will update with some new pics shortly. |
