Default venom scaler question

If I were gonna make a scaler out of a venom. How wide of a body do I need. I want to have it cover the wheels. I currently have a axial ladder frame chassis. I have a regular 1/10 width truck. And the wheels stick outside of the body a long way.

Do you think a T/E maxx body would fit better. Or are there different offset wheels that would suck it in some. Or do you guys ever narrow the axles.

a stock creeper is 10.75" wide. you could narrow that with narrower wheels or tires or narrow the axles themselves.

check out the 2.2 section on scale4x4rc. there's a creeper scale build there of a '73 bronco and it doesn't look bad with the stock ridgelines but they do stick out from the body.
