I think the biggest difference would be size. I was thinking about the RC4wd R2.. But that Axial one looks great in there. The Axial skid gives better ground clearance. My friend did the Axial skid with the R2 and it rocks . How much did the Axial Trans cost??

37.99$ for locked trans 24.99$ for delrin skid plate...... i dont remember the wieght difference but it was a considerable amount i weight it with all the metal attached ( stock trans ) and with the motor plate on the ax10 trans. still a considerable amount....

did the ax10 trans come complete or did you have to buy a spur gear,,other parts,, to bolt it in and make it work.

all the ads ive seen for the ax10 locked trans shows it with out a spur gear or gear mount/slipper mount, meaning you buy the trans and a spur gear and the gear flange for the primary input shaft.

Where on the site can you get this?

I have a used axial trany on the way.

Is the axial skid plate the same width as the venom?

sorry to hijack your thread sidewaystreak....
the axial skid plate is only a couple of mm wider.

the dna dig is here http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204553. buy a couple of them, one for your rig and one as back up. last weekend mine went out after a months of use but i think a glitching radio system started the problem (which i recently fixed). the reason i say to pick up a couple is that due to dna is no longer in busness, damn stupid economy
