Castle Mamba Max Tekin 13.5t sensored brushless Enerland battery Savox servo HPI velocity wheels Pitbull rocker tires Hot racing steering knuckels, C-knuckles, rear lockouts and wheel spacers. hand bent, notched the tubing with a dremel. mocked up Chassis on the welding table. All welded test fit Powder coated John Deere green |

The KOH rig is sick bro...please post a lot more pics. More tech. This is where things can really get fun cuz the Creeper is just about the best out of the box crawler. if its set up right this thing could easily win.

Thanks for the compliments guys I had a ton of fun building it. I wanted to make something specific for rock racing and was originally thinking of buying an axial but for the $ you can't touch the venom. The thing is really a blast to drive. After seeing my buddy hang with the bergs with his venom comp rig i knew it had potential. For the chassis I made it to USRCCA specs(3"wide,3.75" tall and 8" long). It sits pretty low for a crawler but I wanted to make it stable at speed. I also widened the track width to 12.5" The motor setup works great; mamba pro on 3s,tekin sensored brushless 13.5t with a 11t pinion. It has great top end, wheelie's off the line but still has usable low speed crawler torque(although I'd go to a lower turn if I was comp crawling). Oh yeah the chromoly tube frame weights less than the stock aluminum chassis/plastic battery tray!!! All built it weighs just 4.5 lbs with battery! I do need to work on the drivetrain a bit. first pre-run with it i busted a cvd and differential pinion but I was beating the hell out of it. oh well those are cheap. Yeah if any of you guys are in the New England area come to Quincy this sat. Comp is gonna be fun and you can run it in any truck you want. I'll post more pics after the comp. -Brendan |
