| Need more TORQUE
Hey everyone, I've been using the Futaba S3305 servos and want more power. I've searched for some cheap torque and ran across these. Does anyone have any experience with them? http://www.enjoyrchobby.com/servo/cy...tal-gear-servo http://www.enjoyrchobby.com/servo/sp...bearings-servo I just haven't got the money to get those $100+ servos. Thanks. |

They look like the MG995 servos that claim to have 208oz of tourque... I've bugned through 3 of them and a $40 futaba 96oz servo... so if you add the price up over time - futaba $40, $15 x 2 = $30, tower pro "208oz" $40 Total - $120 I should have just gotten this... Running cheep servos has cost me twice of what I would have spent now if I had just bought that one good servo. That's my two cents... save your pennies and get the good one. Or for $12 test out the ones you found and let everyone know how well they work. Hitec HS-7950TH Mega Torque Ti Gear Digital Dual BB $119.99 |

I was thinking about this one the other day. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8496 It's a 1/4 scale servo with 33kg torque. It may be a cheapy brand, but I was thinking the larger components might make up for that. In my application at least, I have plenty of room up front for a larger servo. But like Abavuso mentioned, add 4 of these up and you have a good quality hitec. I'm still on the fence. |

For me,,a $100 servo once that I dont have to worry about is better then replacing even 1 lesser cost servo. You can also link two 645mg's together,,which is still better then buying a servo from a place that sells cell phone cases on the same page.

Ok, when the wallet can afford it (AKA the wife allows me) I think I'll go with the 7954SH. Now, will the aluminum servo horns I have for the Futaba fit on the HiTec servo? I know they wont fit my JR Sport servo.
