Default Mutant's Halfbreed

This is my halfbreed I've been tooling around with.

The Goodies:
Loaded Creeper axles
GC-1 Chassis
Axial tranny
DNA Dig
Revo pushrods for lower links
DNA beadlocks
HB rovers
DX3E
Rooster
Integy 55t

Problems:
In my excitement to test it out I broke off a tab on the axle for one of the upper links and lost a drive shaft. Not even 5 seconds into it's first run. Now I need a four link plate for the rear and probably a steel drive shaft for the rear too.

I made up the plastic covers for the sides and top because my local crawling spot is the banks of the local river and there is fishing line everywhere. My mini always ended up tangled in some.

Had the traxxas shafts on the back. I got bound up from the start and twisted it off.

I will check out the rear 4 link plate, thanks.

the tab broke off cuz it wasnt tied to the other tab...the tabs need support between them.

My new Creeper Link rear axle plates are a couple weeks out..Ill post up when they are ready.

I knew that it would happen, but I didn't think so quickly. I just finally got it drivable and wanted to see how it worked. I should have been more patient and made a spacer for the tabs.

After you get a new housing to replace that, you may want to check out how RMDW tied his upper and lower link mount tabs together on the front and rear. I'm thinking I may tie mine in before I even run it. Been reading about more than a few broken tabs lately.

AH I'm away for two days and my thread got hyjacked!!! Oh well. I have some aluminum in 1/8" and 1/4" thickness. I think I'll try to fab something up out of that. I do like the plate using the RPM servo posts.

Can anyone reccomend a decent low budget servo? I have two HiTech 645 but I stole the one for my mini and the other is being used for the dig. I'm still unsure of getting any from TowerPro.

You cant really put DECENT and LOW BUDGET in the same sentence when it comes to servos...you get what you pay for. If you pay $20-60 for a servo you get $20-60 worth of torque and life.

And we didnt hijack your thread,,,,we used it for smack talk....thats legal.

Now,,downloading 12 pics of someone else's rig,,,HIJACK!

I know I'm not going to get much out of a cheap servo but right now I can't justify to my wife spending $100+ on a servo. Especialy with having several RC projects to fund right now.
