| CVD Rebuild?
Please dont flame me if there's already a thread about this, but I couldnt find anything. I need the pins and whole pin assembly for the CVDs. I have the shaft and axle stub but nothing else. I was wondering if there was a rebuild kit that would work with the Venom CVD's. Would any of the axial rebuild kits work or something along those lines? I just dont want to have to buy whole new cvd's. Thanks! 5lay |

I have used drill bits for the pin. Now if the center piece set screws striped. Ive extracted the set screws, drilled and then taped new threads for 3mm scews. Its in my build thread lazynocturnals droopy creeper.

Iv used old allan wrenches, rivits.. anything that is small enough to fit, I just dremel them down to fit. I also use i belive 1/2" heat shrink around the cvd to hold the pin in. if you dremel it make sure not to have sharp edges if using heat shrink. lol i was accualy using one of my rivits as a toothpick when i saw this thread |

I dont need just the pin, I also need the thing that the pin and set screw goes into if that makes sense. The metal piece that goes into the actual axle too. I was looking at MIP and Axial Rebuilds and was wondering if those would work. Thanks

My creeper came with the drivline upgrade and the upgrade for the axels as well. I did like the idea of the shrink tube though. If you lost the piece inside the ball joint i would guess you should order a replacement via the venom website.

The update kit comes with an aluminum sheath that goes over the driveline pins and eliminates the need for a set screw, it also means you dont loose your pins all over the place. My kit camer with the update kit and it makes more sense than the set screw. Each axel has a new set in red/green to match your creeper colour. The drive shafts also get a new sheath and no longer need the set screw for the pin.
