| My boys first crawler Ok so I got my Boy a crawler after he bugged me and bugged me. I got a venom creeper for his first crawler. A good friend sent me a message saying he had just picked up a crawler. I told him I would give I’m 50 more than what he paid for it. He sent me some photos and he let me get it for the 100 he gave for it with some extra parts. After a good look at the first creeper I saw it needed a transmission case. Well I set it up took it out for a drive to find out the front ring and pinion are bad. I then started looking for a creeper manual and found a 2nd creeper for a good price with a box of extra parts. I made some changes to it so and I’m still making small changes so that can be crawled and trail driven. It was a comp crawler in its last life now for some good fun on the trails rocks. A few photos of creeper #1 This is crawler #2 I changed the front servo plate and steering linkage to stock. I made steel side plates to replace th carbon fiber so we can paint them. The side plates have been moved out about 1/2in to make room for the ecs and receiver. The roof is also getting replaced with steel so I can make a battery tray to protect the battery in roll overs. battery tray is a work in progress. This is the bottom of the battry tray that I made to go in side the rear frame rails. Some short action video of the kid doing his thing on the test run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=G2L5J_MOwdA https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=DYf0QjpPiLg |

My Poor baby!!!! You un-paradox'd it for stock steering?? Please fill me in.. it looks naked in front of the chassis for sure. Still one bad a$$ crawler! Glad it made it to a good home. Hope you an ur boy enjoy. I turned that money into a wraith, which sparked my sons(8 yrs old) interest, so now I'm finishing one up for him for father son fun.. |

| Re: My boys first crawler The paradox steering had him all messed up. So we put the stock linkages on. He has been busy putting in the wrench time. Now if I can get that dang grin of his face. We will be mounting a winch on top of the old battery plate when the paradox steering goes back on but thats down the road a bit. There is still a few more pieces of sheet metal to cut out to fill in the gaps so it will look like a dody panel and not a flat pieces of sheet metal on the sides. | Re: My boys first crawler This is where the truck is at this point. We finished the battery box. Me and my boy sanded and painted it. I’m thinking about having the punisher logo cut out and put on the side plates. He also got some new set of HB white dot tires to ride on. Tires not in photo. Sorry for the late update Last edited by greengoblin; 07-22-2013 at 05:31 PM. |

It looks pretty slick. Almost like a trail rider version of a comp crawler. Does it have any speed?

Cool rig, looks mighty familiar , always carry spare rod ends with ya when you go out crawling along with zip ties and a small tool kit.
