Default My Rockracer

Beating on the Rockracer a bit, testing out TylerV's new lockers for the AX10.
Running a 27T Mod motor on 4 cell Lipo through an R2 tranny, which means NO SLIPPER CLUTCH. Punisher shafts to ensure no problems in that department.
Lockers are still tight as can be

Way too stiff, I had the stock axial springs on the front, as I was waiting on the soft ones to get here. They arrived this afternoon, so I'm looking forward to running it tomorrow with some actual suspension in the front:-P

Wonder if you could start a half pipe comp? I like the 180's off the face of that rock. Gotta build me one of those.

Looks like too much fun . I need to set myself up a truck just for bashing and crawling at high speeds...

Looks like I will have too make myself a rock racer. You made it look super fun in your video. We hold a grudge match rock race after our comps. in my neck of the woods, and its slowly getting popular. We dont run SUPERS here, But i think opening up an actual 'rock race' class might make up for the lack of super class drivers.
Seeing you and your truck in action(a rock crawler catching air?) has got the IDEA bell dinging in my head going off. Next half of our season may have a few changes. Thank You.

I think that would be super fun Kumu, there isn't anybody else here locally that has one, but I'm hoping they will build them. They are a hoot to drive
Disclaimer::::your regular comp truck might feel like it is lacking in speed and punch after driving this for a while

Your words are true and far from feeble. I have a brushless WK that helps satify my need for speed until the Nitro track ever starts up again.
Both speed and crawling is forever imbeded in my blood. So soon that WK or brushless system will be living a new lifestyle. Thanks Again.

It's a 1550mah MaxAmps pack, and I usually run it for about an hour at a time, and the pack only takes around 1000mah when I charge it, so I would guess if I ran it until I hit the cutoff, I'd get around 1.5hrs or so. That is 50/50 full throttle and crawling.

Careful, once you go 3 cell, you will have a hard time going back to nihm.....and once you go 4cell, you will be throwing rocks at everything else. After driving my rockracer, I pull out the Blackjack, and it feels sooooo slow and weak, even on 10 cell nihm

Good to know.

I was wondering about the R2's durability as I run a 3S and I just swapped a 35t for the 'ol 55t.
