| cheater tires-comp 2.2's on 1.9 scalers
so now all three of the "three amigos" have cheater tires. all are running comp 2.2 tires reduced and narrowed to 1.9 on one of their rigs: jaynen currently has Hammers (Badlands also for the beetle) sleek6mt has rock claws pantablo also has rock claws http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxZweOwSjXs |

nah, I brought out the rover today (no cheater tires on it) and did just fine. had a blast too...no excuse not to have a good time! |

Considering 1.9 is a size there is nothing not real about it :P We tend to drive more extreme stuff when we go out as the three amigos and go out a lot more so wanted to be able to do more. A technical section is still technical regardless of your tires, you just have better grip for climbs etc. |

yeah "technically". but i guess we will be even as i plan to run crushers on my jk and those are about the same height as a 2.2 proline dirthawg but you know, those reduced and narrowed claw dawgs are really growing on me |

I can tell you my rock claws came out about 4". the badlands I reduced for jaynen came in about 4.25". my claw dawgs are about 4.1" or so. I'll let sleek and jaynen post about the ones they have now. in order, L to R 2.2 badland/reduced badland/reduced rock claw/standard 1.9 trail doc |

The hammers are actually just under 4" I really like how they look.

as long as the tires are not over the max tire hieght for the rules in your area... i see no problem with it. Heck, i ran smaller tires on my Super rig and whooped up at a couple of comps. sometimes, smaller tires actually help. Although... its mostly up to the driver.
