Default Rig POV on a TLT Crawler

This is only the second video that I have shown here. First video was just a basic body off video of it crawling over the same rocks in the next video.

I haven't seen a video with this perspective yet on RCCrawler.com... Not to say that there hasn't been one, I just haven't seen it. Anyway, I had the camera on the nose of the crawler for the first half and on the roof-rack for the second half pointing down the nose of the rig. The camera doesn't alter its exposure settings or focus on the fly, so some parts might look a little weird.

Let me know what you think!

http://www.woodardway.com/hobby/driverpov.wmv Windows Media Player 9.1 @ 27mb. Please right-click and save-as.

If there are any problems viewing the video, please let me know what error message, if any, you are getting and what version of Windows Media Player you are using. I usually use Quicktime to compress my videos, but this version of the WMP codec makes my videos 1/4 the size with better audio...

Thanks for viewing.

Glad you folks have enjoyed it. I know the video footage could be better, but the camera is getting jiggled around a ton (I had no idea how much shock and vibration our crawlers really go through) and doesn't have a steady shot feature.

Imagine if you are a passenger in the rig... You would be quite sick.

Yeah, it only flipped once. Thankfully it didn't make it on camera and the camera wasn't damaged (it flipped completely over and came to rest on top of the camera). This camera only shoots 30 seconds at a time.

Check your connection... Its 23mb down from 625mb uncompressed. I just checked and I am getting over 90 kilobytes per second... I have 5 people downloading at the same time at this exact moment...

Thanks for the compliments. I hope to have some new video soon. Won't be from the rig (hard on the camera) but it will be from an actual video camera and not a still camera in video mode.
