| WARCRC Winter Series Comp #3
Bunch of crazy people standing around in 20 something degree weather playing with toys. Ah but it was all worth it. It was great to see a bunch of new faces. Sorry we didn't have time to meet. Hope to see you all at next comp. Lets cross our fingers its warmer out. Winter Series Comp #3 Last edited by SMR4RUNNER; 01-18-2007 at 10:17 PM. |

Mike. I know I say it every time but it is worth repeating. Excellent job and it is really appreciated. There is vid of the CXt in the vid section under tug o war and in the build thread under bs build. Thanks to everyone that competed and assisted in running the comp. See you guys and gals on the rocks next time if not sooner Devlin ROCK ON |

Those two trucks were Bobbycombersoms(sp) and mine. Bobbys is black grey and green mine is black grey and blue. Bobby has run a standard 4 link chassis bby or the original designed by hackster and sold by rockgear I forget which. My truck is two pieces of 1/8 music wire through the axles and tranny. Chad- |

I'm using a 520 TV line bulletcam attached to a home made boom. Got the boom idea from this dude selling a poor mans steadicam attachment. I made mine to fit my needs. At the end of the PVC is a flex mount that the cam bolted to. If I need to adjust the cam I just bend the flex mount as needed. The digi cam is attached above the handle. I have a corded switch I use to stop/play/pause/rec the vid all by the press of the thumb. The 3inch display is all I need to look at while video taping. The huge benefit to this boom is I'm able to get right up close to the rig and it keeps me far enough away so that I'm not obstructing the drivers view. The main reason I made the boom was because of a bad back. I was tired of having a sore neck and back from being crouched over for hours. Problem solved. Thanks again Mike | |

Awesome, thanks for the great explination. I always thought that something was up because of the low angles and how smoothly you where able to move over the rocks. Way cool. |
