Yes I like the 959 allot more. Don't get me wrong the power HD is a great servo, but the 959 just had more power. Worth the extra $15 in my eyes.

I have a BEC on my Trx but my Scx10 does not have one and I don't notice much of a difference. Yes a bit but not much. BEC is worth the $20 either way. I haven't noticed any issues with heat on either rig.
