Default My Wheely King vid.... ~Updated with second video~

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7BV2YnRnNw

Not the best video, but it's what I've got. After all, I live in the "High Plains", not the "High Lots of Fun Stuff to Crawl Area". It's not easy to find rock formations around here. Oh well, it's still fun, i'm sure if I keep looking I'll find better spots.

*New Video*

Not long after I shot the first vid, I made a bunch of changes. I moved the battery to the front, moved the shocks in on the axles for more leverage, mounted the servo on the axle, and a few other things. Finally, Sunday I got a chance to shoot it in action. It drives like a whole new truck and just cruises up stuff that I either couldn't get over before or had to work hard to clear.

Yeah, I knew it wouldn't be everyone's taste, but I just got so tired of seeing trucks going a quarter of a mile an hour with thrash metal in the background. It just doesn't jive.

Hey, I was hitting 5-6 mph.

Excellent video. I enjoyed it. Your truck seems to perform very well too.

Well, I changed a bunch of stuff since that video was made. I moved the lower shock mount to the inside of the lower links so the socks are standing straight up when you look at it from the front, just like the stock angle basically. That gave the axle more leverage against the springs and rediced a LOT of the float problem I had. Then I mounted the gigantic battery to some braces right over the front third link. It will now cruise right up stuff that I had to work hard at before.

Finally I got the servo on the axle. Wow, that tmade the most difference of anything. Taking out all of the slop and flex the stock linkages had helped everything. I think it made more of a performance difference than the balance change or the shock relocation, just because the front wheels actually goe where I tell them to go now instead of wasting half the servo's movement on taking up slop.

I prefer no music so you can hear the song of the motor and gears, and the ambient sounds of crawlin in the bush!!

Dude, schweet vids...they are pretty good res/quality! Neither of them are my kinda music, but I just sing along to myself...lol. Nice crawlin area too, it can be hard to find good rocks. I'm lucky and
have some great areas close by, but as I drive around always scouting for more! Where's yer build thread?

No build thread on it, there's not really anything new or exciting, nothing worth making a whole thread about. It's just the typical tried and true WK mods that's we've all seen. But it works well, so I figured a video thread was called for....
