Default PeninsulaRC.com - Port Angeles, Sequim, Clallam County

http://www.PeninsulaRC.com

Hey guys and gals! Just posting up some regional forums for you to check out. I'm hoping that everyone in Sequim, Port Angeles, Forks, Port Townsend, and so on, will register and participate.

Hopefully we can get something going locally so we don't have to travel to have real fun and to practice. The goal is to create a real club and a club facility. It's just a vision. Hope it works out eventually...

I built the website to gather RC drivers and pilots of all types, so it's not crawler specific. I have created a section for crawlers though. Feel free to register and use the website however you like. It does have some great media/video capabilities; ie. post a youtube link and it embeds the video.

Check it out!

*I hope I haven't broken any rules by posting this. I will remove if asked by a mod. I don't mean to offend or step on toes in any way. Thanks - Mark

*Edit: I'm moving. Find me on PortlandRC.com

The Port Angeles and Sequim areas have:
  • 2 medium-sized private RC tracks - both in Sequim
  • 1 medium-sized private RC track - being built in Port Angeles
  • 2 excellent Crawling spots - Ediz Hook - Port Angeles, and Salt Creek County Park - Port Angeles / Joyce

  • 3 Hobby Shops - Two in Sequim and one in Port Angeles
  • Lots of individuals in groups that crawl, bash, jump, and drive tracks.
We don't have any formal clubs or public tracks. To drive a track you'd just have to get in touch with the owner on PeninsulaRC.com and setup a date and time. Some tracks are more available than others. Hop on and register to stay in the loop.

There is another area that Nate08 crawls at at the Western end of Hendrickson Rd in Sequim. Park at the top parking lot and take the trail down to the river. I went there once with Nate and it was a little wet, but pretty sweet. Just make sure the river isn't raging and it's not too wet out....the river rocks get slippery.

Not much there for crawling. Either end of the raailroad bridge park is good though. Ediz hook or salt creek are both good too
