Default GTG - Milwaukee Lakefront - Saturday, Sept 20th

Hey guys, I'd like to have a GTG somewhere on the lakefront on Sept 20th. A great guy from the MN group will be passing through and I offered to try to get a group together for a crawl session.

Any recommendations on location? I've been to Bender Park and it's ok, but maybe a bit big for a 2.2 rig.

Yeah we were there over labor day weekend. It's to big for 2.2. Maybe Schmemzer (spelling?) could help out with a location. Other than that I would be interested.

I agree that Bender is pretty big for 2.2s but not out of the question.

The parking lot spot at Bradford is very good for 2.2s and is easily accessible plus the spot at the Filtration Plant is only about a mile north so you could easily do both. In addition there are some bigger rocks in between!

I'll be in if I don't go to Busse.

Bradford sounds good. If I get a chance, I may check it out sometime this week, too, since I haven't been there yet.

I'm in Don't mined the hike to Milwaukee. It's only 1.25 hrs form my house. Just need directions where your planning to meet, and what time

It's SFC K. He'll be on his way through from Ft Knox, but I'll try to get a time estimate here in the next couple of days.

Here's some pics of the Bradford beach spot: Milwaukee RC Rock Crawling Spot - Bradford Beach

The parking lot is right by "A" on this map. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...,0.264359&z=13

I may be in for this GTG, looks like scuba gear will be needed for the Busse comp. On my way back from Indy last night northern IL got slammed with rain, and everyone is talking flooding. We felt the warth of Ike in Indy, 60+ mph winds and non stop rain during the GP race on Sunday. Did we get much rain here in sothern WI?

I don't care which location we do it at. I've never been to either, but I'd say whatever spot is more 2.2 condusive.

I'm not going to Busse so I am in on this.

Both locations are good and only a mile apart so I don't see why we can't check out both.

How about Noon at the Filtration Plant?

Sounds good to me. Can you provide an address or map for the filtration plant? Never been there before.

Just for the record, the Busse location never actually flooded, this pic was taken just after the rain stopped on Sunday:

Tomorrow's comp is on

Not to discourage anybody from the gtg, but you're all welcome to join us tomorrow, the weather should be great.
