| Friday or Saturday comps
OK guys, what works best for everyone, Friday evening comps or Saturday afternoon? Friday start time would be between 5-7pm Saturday 1-3pm Also weather permitting we will have the first comp outdoors. Red Granite or HighCliff? |

My vote is for Saturdays, and either HCSP or RG is fine with me |

Either day works fine for me. Although, to point out the obvious, we can't have an outside comp on Friday evenings. It is getting dark earlier and earlier every day. Red Granite was a lot of fun for trail truckin (and sight seeing), but I didn't see enough good areas for a comp. A lot of big rocks, and flat terrain. I haven't been to High Cliff, but I think that would probably be better. Tim |

yes our first comp would have to be Saturday, High Cliff has a nice rock area down by the marina. I figured Saturdays would work out better for alot of people and we would have alot more time for the comp and we would still get home at a decent time. But if it works out to be that Friday works best for most, sorry Troy, cant change it for one person. |

No problem, do what works best for the most people. If I don't get to use my sporty much this crawling season I plan on re-using all the goodies for another project. Maybe something with snow tires? |

Our first comp will have to be at hobbytown as its the same date as the first hoibbyton comp also, unless everyone wants to meet at highcliff and run the 2.2 and sportsman and then head over to hobbytown.

| New idea for the winter series
Here are my thoughts on what I am seeing here....If we are going to have the Hobbytown series on Saturdays and the WiRCRC series will be on Saturdays which will be sharing some of the events from the Hobbytown series, why not just combine them all into one series. The first comp could be an outdoor comp at Highcliff on the 1st. Then we can have the 7 remaining previously scheduled events at Hobbytown and the 3 scheduled events at the LLRL. The series finale could be at an outdoor location in May. Probably a cookout and what-not. It could be a best 8 of 11 series. The only concern I have is if the owner of Hobbytown would be ok with us only using the facility for 7 times throughout the winter. Maybe someone with better knowledge of the guy could answer that. I personally like this idea but would like some other's viewpoints as well. Tim |

I like tim's idea of combining the 2 series. We can always have non-series gtg's at hobby town when folks are looking for something to do. I don't know when I will be ready to crawl, i had carpal tunnel surgery done on my right hand yesterday and will have the left done as soon as the right heals. I may still show for some, hell i can't do much worse than last year...

I like this idea also, but I, at this time, don't have a rig to comp with and not sure when I will. So I guess my opinion doesn't really mean much. |
